About Cevalo Camps

Campers are matched with appropriate school horses that they can bond with over the course of the session. We limit the number of participants so that everyone receives one-on-one attention from our camp instructors and enjoys plenty of hands-on interaction with the horses.

The daily lesson and activities are tailored to suit each camper's experience and ability. Campers ride one hour each day, are taught how to groom and tack their own horses, and learn other basic horsemanship skills through a series of demonstrations and hands-on activities that might include longeing/loose schooling a horse in the round pen, join-up, feeding the horses, mucking out stalls, cleaning tack, and bathing a horse.

On the last day, campers have the opportunity to demonstrate their newly-learned skills in a mini-show for their family and friends.

Horse Discovery Sessions

Cevalo's Horse Discovery sessions are open to aspiring riders ages 7 and up. These intensive, half-day courses cover many of the topics from our camp program and can be tailored to suit the students' abilities and interests. Parents are welcome to attend with their children, and the schedule will also include separate adult sessions. Call or email for the latest schedule.
