On Friday January 15, 2010 Cevalo's 5-year old "baby" Freyja underwent emergency colic surgery
to remove a blockage in her colon. The surgery saved her life and her prospects for a full
recovery are excellent.
Current estimates are that Freyja's emergency care, surgery, and post-operative treatment will cost between $6,000 and $10,000.
We were able to go ahead with the surgery because some incredibly generous members pledged to help cover Freyja's expenses. However, it's going to take more than just their generosity to pay the full amount.
